Get Mentoring in Farming has been developed to help those working in the farming and agriculture sector across the country to mentor each other.
The initiative specifically aims to support small and medium businesses (SMEs).
The project involves a number of partner organisations and is led by the Small Firms Enterprise Development Initiative (SFEDI).
The Small Firms Enterprise Development Initiative (SFEDI) was established in 1996 to support the learning and skills development of prospective and current business owners and enterprise support professionals.
SFEDI supports enterprising know-how for enterprising people and is the UK government recognised standard setting body for business enterprise and enterprise support in the UK.
SFEDI delivers projects which have a direct impact on the skills and knowledge development of SMEs. Recent projects include the Get Mentoring initiative, a UK-wide mentor training project. Based on this experience they were invited to assist in the delivery of this peer to peer mentoring project.
